I’ve been in Atlanta for almost 15years & am embarrassed to say, took Jaylen to hike up Stone Mountain for the 1st time last weekend. I know, I know #DontJudgeMe. Lol! Anyway, what an experience and a GREAT way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon with my son. He was excited at first, but about half-way up the mountain, he was like, “Mom, can we turn around???” Lol. The heat was a beast, but I wouldn’t let him quit… I kept urging him on, telling him the sight at the top of the mountain would make it worth our while and we could take the “tram thing” back down. That gave him the push he needed :) We made it to the top and it was truly beautiful. The strong winds at the top made it fun for Jaylen as he pretended to fly… I’m so glad we were able to experience it together… Unfortunately, the “tram thing” wasn’t running on Sunday, sooooooo guess who had to hike it back down??? Lol. Yep, Jaylen was dissappointed, but I promised him the hike down would be much easier and at the end of the day…. WE HAD NO OTHER OPTIONS!! Lol.
I will definitely go back & encourage everyone to take their lil one’s as well… A great family activity!! :)
